About us

AEE GmbH is a certified EASA and EN 9100:2018 organization specializing in the development, certification, production, and maintenance of advanced avionics and electromechanical systems for the aerospace industry. With over 35 years of experience, we deliver turnkey, certifiable solutions for both civil and military applications — supporting projects up to Design Assurance Level A (DAL A) across system, hardware, and software domains.

As an approved EASA Part 21G (Production), Part 145 (Maintenance), and Part 21O (Alternative Design) organization, AEE provides full-lifecycle services: from initial concept and system design to integration, verification, qualification, and long-term support. Our in-house capabilities include electronics manufacturing (SMD and THT), mechanical production, full system integration, functional testing, and environmental qualification — all under rigorous quality control.

In addition to developing our own avionics and actuation systems, we also offer certified production and maintenance services for third-party designs, ensuring compliance, reliability, and efficiency for external programs. This combination of deep engineering expertise and flexible production capacity makes AEE a trusted partner for both established OEMs and next-generation aerospace innovators.

New Generation Flight Control Computer – NFCC1000

Use case of the NFCC1000 is early development and prototyping where maximum interface flexibility is required.
Migration is possible to a custom FCC design with only required interfaces in an optimized form factor.
Extension boards can be used as standalone DCU as well, either as a separate device (NDCU) or as part of
the NFCC with only shared power supply infrastructure.

Standard processing element uses a QorIQ T1024 PowerPC processor from NXP (the second core is
usually disabled on the software side).

Options exist for upgrade to T1042 quadcore processor or ARM based processors from the NXP
Layerscape family, e.g. LS1043A.

Each extension board has its own Cortex  M0/M3/M4/M7 or PowerPC microcontroller, making it a builtin DCU with Ethernet uplink.

NDCU Next-Generation Data Concentrator Unit

Software and hardware compatible to the NFCC, the Next-Generation Data Concentrator Unit provides common avionics interfaces (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, ARINC429, CAN, Discrete Inputs/Outputs) for any I/O extension or concentration applications. The configurable unit ensures that customers with high I/O counts never run out.

MiniDCU (MIAU1000)

The MiniDCU is a highly compact, robust device initially developed for gateway and data concentrator applications. Designed for a multitude of DO-160G requirements, the waterproof device features redundant power inputs, lightning protected and partially isolated interfaces (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN and Discrete Inputs/Outputs), as well as a powerful Microcontroller also capable of running flight control laws - all a box just 80x80x60mm small.
